Tallinn,  5 June 2026. The Baltic Press Publishers’ Collective Management Organisation (BPCMO) has expanded its cooperation with leading news publishers in the Baltic region by signing representation agreements with two major Lithuanian media organisations – i.e.,  Delfi LT, a leading Lithuanian news and media platform, and Lrytas, one of Lithuania’s largest news portals.

Delfi LT is among the leading news portals in the Baltic states and is part of the Ekspress Group. It is a strong digital platform that delivers rapid news updates and multimedia content to millions of users each month.

Lrytas is one of Lithuania’s best-known media publishers. It originated from the newspaper Lietuvos rytas and has since evolved into a fully digital media platform that covers political, economic, sports, and cultural news daily, reaching a broad readership.

The BPCMO brings together the largest news publishers in the Baltic states and operates as a collective management organisation. Its role is to negotiate with digital platforms such as Google, Microsoft, and Meta/Facebook, as well as to collect and distribute licence fees.

Currently, the organisation represents more than 95% of privately owned news media publishers in Estonia, as well as several publishers in Latvia and Lithuania. The BPCMO also welcomes additional news publishers from Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania to join.

Through the BPCMO, publishers can conclude media licensing agreements more quickly and easily, while significantly reducing transaction costs.

The aim of the BPCMO is to promote the rights and interests of all Baltic news publishers. A unified structure gives publishers greater control over their rights and helps ensure more transparent and fair remuneration for content used in digital environments. At the same time, it supports cross-border cooperation and strengthens the overall competitiveness of the region’s media sector.
